Nice pics. Where where they taken?

Is that a telelphone or dock pole that washed up on shore? Damn...wouldn't want to slam into that at 30+ mph.

That was the size of a telephone pole. It was big.

Thumbs up

Rough? That looks like perfect whitewater conditions, just the way we like it up here. Really.

It would be better but the major storm we had wipe out a lot of our already
flat beach structure. We usually have a nice little trough that the fist sit in.
It will return and in some spots it already has.

Striperknight posted that pic on Friday, the 3rd day of a NE blow, on Wed, the first day, I went to see if anything would be going on as the winds really picked up, and I was throwing ava 027's with my 11'er and they were going a few yards then flopping around like they were bombers and falling straight down into the water....where the sweep would bring them right back to my feet, without ever having made contact with the damn thing. This was casting directly into the wind mind you, otherwise the ratio was 10 yards of line out for every 1 yard of forward travel of the ava. Big belly in the line.
As fishy as it looked, I heard of noone getting any fish during the 5 days, or for several days after. It was the end of 3 weeks of great fishing for me, once fish came back to the beach they were all short, to micro. Oh well.
Some big bunker showed this week, with maybe some better fish on them. I'll find out Friday night.

I'm with ya on the flat calm thing, while the big east/NE winds will sometimes move the fish to feed, a west wind is still my favorite to fish in, and tonight we'll have lots of it....sustained 30 with gusts. And below freezing temps
Why do I do this?
Becasue it's going to be a long winter......
